Nice pace, good plot and well developed characters. The story follows 2 characters mostly past and present.

Review from Space Team: The Search for Splurt →
Fun space adventure with great characters. This isn’t my favorite book in the series, maybe partly because of the high amount of action scenes (somehow I get easily confused during action scenes) and (minor spoiler alert) I felt bad for Splurt. I did like how this book ends, the humorous banter and the (hopefully staying)..
This book was amazing! I enjoyed listening to it a lot!Murphy, Zed, Steph and the rest of the crew are such awesome characters! This book had great humor, was very fast-paced and leaves you feeling happy and sad at the same time. If you haven’t heard of the slow burn series or haven’t read this..
Spellbinding Adventure and True
Review from The Expendable →
Story follows a young Navy Corpsman beginning with his enlistment, through combat against the Japanese invasion of the Philippines, and into his long journey to escape. The first few chapters covered the somewhat atypical life of a new enlistee. But from there, the story grew into an enthralling tale of survival during the dark period..
Simplistic, yet fun

This book is probably orientated towards young adults. If you overlook the somewhat childish humor and simplistic plot premise, which is at times overly convenient, then this turns out to be an entertaining read/listen. There is a fair amount of gratuitous/pointless swearing (usually in attempt to be humorous), which may be off-putting for some readers/listeners…
Hell Yes!
