It was annoying watching the MC do the dumbest stuff and then talk about how he couldn’t believe how dumb that was. It was starting to ruin the immersion. The MC had been smart, detailed, and collected. But was just changed towards the end.

Love the story and Phil. Did anyone else notice that they kept calling John’s wife Christine? That’s not her name and confused me quite a bit. Only once or twice did they call her Jenny. So weird. But the dynamic between these frenemies is just as hilarious as ever.

Putting a proper review here upon seeing the only other review admiting they had not listened past chapter 9 in 50 plus chapter book…… Any ways great narration plus deep characters with real reactions and macinations. Good solid litrpg with a morally skewed main character. Think Otto Shenk from portal wars with good intentions.
