This is a decent YA LitRPG story that is unique, but only mildly captivating. For being nearly 21 hours-long, there is not much depth to the plot, and the leveling-up process seems capricious and without a clear purpose/direction. However, I don’t regret having gotten, nor listen to, this book.

Great story!!
Review from Monsters and Legends →
I loved this book! The only not so great thing is the relationship of things already said a moment before. For instance, once it was said that showing their stats was essentially frowned upon, it didn’t need to be repeated so many additional times. Also, there wasn’t much difference between the character voices. It sounded..
Great story, too much gaming
Review from The Empire →
The Empire, the 4th book in the Infinite Realm series is okay. I listened to the audiobook and the narration by Phil Thron is excellent. Unfortunately, at least 1/4 of the book is spent endlessly repeating and reviewing gaming character stats. I tend to zone out during these chapters but I find they are wasted..
Really good on every level

Really? Donald Trump?
Review from Collateral Damage →
Like most of the 1-star reviews, I too, was put off by the author going off-topic and bringing Donald Trump, and the author’s TDS, into a story about the 50’s & 60’s. Unfortunately, it seems Mr. Shaw has gone the way of late night talk show hosts and the legacy media, and has decided to..
just blah
Review from Boom Box →
I love Post-Apocalypse stories, I absolutely love humor. she’s story was advertised to have both, it did not. The characters were flat and two-dimensional. the humor was absolutely weak. And I found myself wishing that nobody had survived the apocalypse in the story. definitely would not recommend to anyone… unless you hate them.
