A very well done, concise history

The author does a wonderful job of giving you the highlights of napoleons history, utilizing modern scholarship, while giving difference to historians of the past. If you were interested in a brief history of Napoleon, this is an excellent book.

The dialog was too cliche, like the author cherry picked the most used lines from military fiction. Other than copious eye-rolling at that, I enjoyed it. The performance was good. The story was okay.
