This is my first book covering the Saratoga campaign but it had everything you need to understand the battles, the commanders, the battlefields and the issues on both sides. A very thorough book, that I am going to use as a reference in the future. The narrator was good as well.

I do feel like Crusher doesn’t get enough attention, which makes him more of a set piece than a character. besides that, this was an entertaining and solid, if short, expansion of the OF universe.

Really enjoyed this! Will be listening to his next books and different series now! I like how he is knowledgeable enough of how the current US Socom units work but adds a new space military aspect onto it all.

Entry-level Sci Fi

I grew up with the masters and have been reading sci fi for well over 50 years. Even though this is a reasonable story, it is still of a grade for beginner readers. A bit formulaic, and very predictable. Yet, if you ARE a beginner, or you want an easy diversion, you will likely enjoy.
