Overall a very entertaining listen. Intriguing story and a bit more than just action pulp (which there is still a lot of that!). It’s great to see writers inspired but what came before and making it there own.

Excellent story from beginning to end. More of an adventure than survival but enjoyable. Narration was pleasant. If you want a hard core by the numbers survivalist story, you’ll be disappointed. if your expecting a story that’s easy to follow and not critical, you’ll enjoy.

Another amazing story from an awesome author. I can’t wait for the next chapter.

I bought the full box set series. OK the storyline was decent enough. But the “good guys” kept being such fools, it was frustrating. This story is less realistic than most other books of this nature. (1) People went barbaric overnight, which is too quickly to be believable.; (2) A group of little more than a dozen people are going to take on military bases and entrenched combatants… And then the one guy who is described throughout the story..

The book was a great listen. I would recommend it to people who are have followed the series and newcomers as well.

Too much unnecessary content. And the last book’s relationship progression was so unrealistic it pissed me off. Going from despising the person to suddenly wanting to have sex with them WITHOUT batting an eyelash at that response when it’s out character for that person is just too much.
