This was not even entertaining; I kept listening to see if it improved, however it never did. There have been other books by Mary Burton that I enjoyed, this was a disappointment.

The least you can do is get a narrator that can actually speak Spanish or one that can pronounce Spanish properly if your main character is a native speaker. Other than that I did like the story.

The story was good but the accent would come and go and about half way through the book became pretty annoying.
There was more “questionable “ content than I wanted to subject myself to – so I did not get past first few pages.

I have mixed feelings about this book. I enjoyed the narrator. She vocal characterizations enabled me to visual the various characters. But Kaitlyn came across as very naive. Some of her actions seemed very inconsistent and borderline reckless for someone who graduated with a degree in law enforcement. Her feelings and Colt’s were all over..
The book itself is good! I finished reading in on my kindle, because I couldn’t get into it with the narrator. No offense to her, but she sounded like Siri. There just wasn’t enough emotion or inflection for me.
