The story line was ok but more like a teenager book. Repetitive about the feelings the two police had. No real story for the canine. Very simple book.
I enjoy reading YA mysteries and while I like Karen McManus’ books, I LOVE Holly Jackson’s A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder trilogy. Bury the Lead is probably the closest you can get to GGGTM’s intricate plotting and characterization. While I still prefer GGGTM, I definitely would rate this as a 4.5 or 4.75 out..
I nearly cried during some of the difficult times, meaning, I got sucked into the story. I think all of us curvy girls have thought negatively about our size at least once in our lives, maybe some of the newer generation feel differently since body positivity has been helping women out and hopefully men too…

I’d been waiting for this since the first book. The way it was written from both points of view was fantastic and we got their history. It was beautifully written and I couldn’t be happier with how the story was told. My heart broke from the beginning and I just couldn’t stop listening (audio book).
Narrator sounds like a teenager.

I really don’t care for the narrator. Little variation between male and female voices. The story isn’t appealing. It sounds more like a teen book. Didn’t finish it. And Vicks vapor rub is used to mask decomposition and other odors!

loved this story thought it was filled with lots of twists and turns. very well written and who the hell doesn’t love the lead character being a half German shepherd and Belgian malinois dog. renegade to the rescue. loved it and I am definitely in for the next book in the series.
I enjoy following up on characters from previous listens it definitely adds depth to the stories

I loved this story just like the one before. I love the narrator even though the guy voices very are monotone. She does a great job!
