I didn’t expect much from the story bit it may be one of the best I’ve ever read. As a middle class thinking American it is hard not to recognize the characters even today. Don’t expect excitement. what you will find is much deeper than that.
Loved the witness of having a relationship with Christ and those who love it out in their lives. Also to see how religion can be a stumbling block.

Finally!!! A book that really breaks down the importance of boundaries, how to set them, why we set them and gives us lists to contemplate our inner selves. Lists that help us comprehend who we are and what we need on a deeper level. I liked the person who read this audio book as well…

I couldn’t finish this book. The plot didn’t seem to bad, but I got tired of the main character, Leona Davis. I found her character to be incredibly prickly and rude. I also thought the policeman who was trying to pursue her was an idiot for allowing her to interfere with his investigation. I know..
the book was helpful and informative the narrator was clear and easy to understand some of the stories could have been shorter but otherwise it was a good listen. The material that came with the audiobook was helpful as well.

Leona is exactly the type of cozy protagonist I love. Rebuilding her life after divorce, she digs up a body while working on the foundation of her chicken coop–and doesn’t stop digging until the murder is solved.
