I’m a picky reader, but this book did not disappoint! I love how the women’s stores all weave together the history of their time. But mostly I loved the message of Gods loving grace throughout all generations, no matter what mistakes we make. He is always there.

The human spirit to survive harsh, degrading circumstances, cruel influences in a young life, sprinkled with unfamiliar kindnesses ( when deciding to break free) defines this young girl’s life. Definitely a good read to press into .

Loved this story! Difficult to stop listening to. I recommend this to anyone with family still around. Narrator did a great job changing her voice for all the different characters. I love Lynn Austin’s books.

I actually quite enjoyed the story all the way through except I didn’t care for the end section. Im not sure why. It felt to me like a bit of a misuse of a really excellent set up. But hey that’s just my opinion. Still wasn’t bad just wish it had gone a different way..
