What a great premise squandered! Plot Threads left hanging. Wispy Characters. Obvious machinations. BUT a mystery all the same that I leaned into enjoying because I miss these kinds of books. Ah for the return of Agatha – this story would have been handled brilliantly .

It started off a bit wobbly because of the narrator, but once she found her flow it quickly grabbed my attention. It reminds me a lot of Francine River’s “Her Mothers Hope”&”Her Daughter’s Dream”, two of my favorite books. I really enjoy this style of writing. I do think some of the bad theology(both Catholic&Protestant)..
