Boring and hard to follow won’t be getting the next one but I may consider others from this author

I was a little familiar with case-meaning I probably read it in People magazine or some such rag. I’m so disappointed that there was no closure for the family. My heart goes out to them. Those two innocent boys…it’s just devastating and so unnecessary. Stephen Powell passed on some demented genes to his spawn.

Any additional comments? I love the survivor-thriller genre, but I have to admit it’s not always the best writing. Not the case with this series. Well-written, action-packed, and suspenseful. Author obviously knows his weapons and has done research about possible scenarios. Exciting “read.”

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you? I like action, but it was very heavy-handed with the “every man for himself”. What was one of the most memorable moments of Defiance? That is stopped very suddenly in the middle of the story. I’d assumed that it would be a..

Is there anything you would change about this book? not make a such a big deal out of the characters training and then make them stupid and slow.

I really enjoyed this book. I actually read The Days of Elijah first. So it was very nice getting the background on the characters mentioned in that series.

This was an excellent book – although long, it never lost my attention and the end was very satisfying. I highly recommend it.
