I enjoyed the various characters and their take on the challenging world beyond technology. Some points of view were riveting as the characters worked together to keep their clan safe.
I have read many of Mark Goodwin’s series. This set was just a little too far on the biblical side for me. The Bible verse at the beginning of every chapter, I found unnecessary and wanting to fast forward through it.
Extreme gratuitous violence was unnecessary, I found it to be personally offensive.

Gratuitous violence was over the top. I am a retired military man, so I am not squeamish; however, the graphic violence was extreme and completely unnecessary.
