This book had some disturbing and difficult parts to get over but once I let the story just happen and not judge, it became one of my favorites so far on Audible. Some very interesting characters that you come to love.

Love is not always black and white. Love evolves. Love changes. And love is often messy and complicated. The book is not your average love story and will does cater on the edge of what is appropriate per our current culture. But love sometimes is more than a number, as taboo as it is.

I wasn’t expecting much based on the description and as the story went along I was waiting for the unusual situation to wear thin and become boring or just plain ridiculous but it was wonderful. I didn’t want it to end!

I can’t say I would recommend it. I was a little blown away that it was like that.

So great! Listened with my 9 year old daughter-we both loved it! Very well thought out-so suspenseful & exciting! Also-some eerie similarities to some current events!

I didn’t want to put this down. Well developed characters and interesting plot. Narration wad superb. I will look for more books by this author and this narrator.

After listening to all of the cat in the stacks books I was really put off by this different narrator. It was really annoying to hear her different pronunciation of Miss Angel’s and the detective, Kenisha Berry’s names. Her overly affected accent was difficult to tolerate at times. This was a DNF for me. I understand my views may not reflect the views of others. I could not get past the age differences of these characters.

Wow. It’s very Lolita, but you cannot put this one down. Tough reminder for a teacher of what students may be dealing with at home that we have no idea about.

One of the most amazing heart felt love stories. Get past some of the taboo things and just focus on the love between them.
