This is a great book I loved it so much!!! The only thing I strongly disliked was when Kaylan and Ari debate how they feel about god. I was thinking HOW DO YOU NOT BELIVE IN GOD!? Later on I was pleased that they decided they did believe in him. But the thing is Kaylan..
Great story, great character development. This made me shocked to think that this stuff went on in the US as recent as the late 60s, early 70s. Too sad. But, “Don’t forget history, let we are fated to repeat the atrocities of the past.”
So good I couldn’t stop listening.

I’m glad I listened to Michelle Knights book first to gain more perspective on her first, as there wasn’t much about her in this book. Understandably so. Her story is so unique it definitely deserve it’s own book book. But I’m gladly‘s girls came together to write this book. Definitely worth listening too.

Stayed up until after 1 in the morning becauseI could not stop listening to this book. It has many twists and turn that keep you on the edge of your seat. The narrator did a great job. I will be reading more from this author.

I was anxiously awaiting for this book to take the turn toward pedophilic themes, since it is a trope that is set up very early on in the book. It’s difficult to listen through some of the more graphic scenes, and while the imagery and idea of two unwanted persons finding each other is idyllic,..
What a horrible thing to frame as acceptable….. a 13 year old having sexual contact with a 26 year old…… just no. We need to stop sexualizing children
