Great story and narration. Subject matter and details are not for everyone. Definitely leaves you uncomfortable and wondering what’s right and wrong.

I’ve recommended this book to several friends already. I now recommend this audio even more!

I could not stop listening to this book. It was well written, relevant to the current world, and heartbreaking. It was based on a podcast (I also love podcasts) and I am going to listen to the podcast because of the book. It is a poignant look at racism and classism in the current climate.

The narration of a man throwing his voice to sound like a woman and nonstop Swearing doesn’t make for and easy listen.

so like everyone else says, it was slow. This is only because the author is very detailed and places you in the story with great visuals. although slow, I dodnt struggle to finish it at all. great read.

This is an amazing story! Love how it’s written. However you’ve got to be able to overlook the horrible fake southern accent of the narrator. This could have been so much better if she had just read in a normal voice!

It didn’t go where I thought it would. The voice was amazing. 5 out of 5 stars for sure.
