This book should come with a trigger warning: child neglect, abuse and grooming by a pedophile. It’s starts as a great story but it turn about half way through. Listen at your own discretion

This is my 4th time listening to the series, and every time its better and better. i feel a connection to the characters, and cant put it down. love the narrator too.

I read that this book was totally unnecessary.,.. Boy was that person wrong. At times I did feel like, get on with it already but I’m glad they didn’t. I enjoyed this book even more than the first one.

This isn’t an action packed adventure. The story takes it time, and is focused more on the bounds of the characters. I felt the chapters were too short, but if you have trouble concentrating on things then the chapter length is probably a good thing.

Recommend for anyone teen and up. Researched and written so well. Thoroughly enjoyed narrators and had no problem following the (4) separate perspectives. Have read author’s previous book, Between Shades of Gray and liked. This one is even better and they pair well together. Gives two completely different storylines from similar roots in Lithuania.

great Story easy to follow good for ten plus very funny mystery and cute

This was an interesting book for the first few chapters. Then it became a bit tedious to finish. I would’ve benefited from some editing, though I can understand why it was published in its entirety for historic preservation purposes.

As a foster parent of children who have been in similar situations, I have a hard time with this book. This is a reflection of a stolen childhood and an adult who could have made a better decision.

I downloaded this because it was suggested for me and included with my membership. I made it nearly halfway and HAD to stop. The description does not mention pedophilia, but that’s what it’s about. No getting around it. Even if there was some kind of grander meaning at the end, I couldn’t get there because..
