I absolutely loved this book. I got so attached to the characters. As each one either survived or didn’t make it I got so emotional. When I found out the shoe poet and Emilia didn’t make it I cried. I loved the poet so much and wanted him to survive. Definitely would recommend to others.
What??? “All the Ugly and Wonderful Things just shot a bullseye to my heart. This was one controversial listen and I thoroughly enjoyed this story with all its nuances. Although not every chapter resonated with me, I felt like the topics were fairly well covered. The author prefaces with an explanation that these are anecdotal examples… I felt those stories helped personify situations. I often thought, “so, I’m not the only one who…” thinks/feels/does something. It was also easy to follow.

Well…I cried and I laughed and I fell in love. This book simply put is beautifully dark with twists of light and love.
I wasn’t sure what to expect but this was a really engaging story and I fell in love with the characters and their story. Great narration. The expression and description of challenging topics felt genuine. These are the sorts of characters you remember even when the details of their stories get hazy.

I loved the narrator the book was overall good not my favorite I would of liked it more if there was more of a suspect list and if something else happened it boring bit also not I don’t know like I said not my favorite but not the worst most likely in my top 15..

The storyline was very good. The characters were very clear and you could easily follow along. This book gets right to the point but then just seems to drag in getting to any sort of resolution.
