This book is an entertaining mix of mystery, action, and romance, but the narrator is super annoying. Not awful enough that I couldn’t listen, but it definitely took some effort to get past it. Fun little series. The names of the creatures cracks me up, even more so since I believe in those part of the woods those names are really what they are called. Enjoyed the narrator who read the book in the accent of the region.

I loved the storyline, but the narrator was not good! He made Gideon sound like a goof and Daisy sound wimpy…not good for a hero and heroine!

I so wanted to listen to this book but I just couldn’t. The narrator is HORRIBLE. I didn’t even make it through chapter 1.
I think I would love this book if not for the narrator. I’m 5 hours into it and I think I’m am going to stop. There is not much difference in the characters voices. The women all sound like a man making fun of a woman’s voice. It distracts from the story.
Why some narrators have to raise their voice at the beginnin of each sentence? I usually lower the speed or the volume. I really wanted to listen this story, but after a few minutes of screamed first words and screeching female caracters my ears are bleeding and I’m giving up.
