Exciting!

Review from Hidden in Darkness →

I should probably preface this by saying that I seriously dislike 1st person present tense. I mean dislike it so much that I can’t make it past the first couple chapters no matter how often I try. So the fact I was able to not only finish but thoroughly enjoy this book is nothing short..

I came into this series in the middle and now consider myself richer by far for the three novels plus short story I’ve enjoyed to date. The story has such a sweet insightful way of meshing people of the upper class with those of the trades. The characters of John Pickett and..

John Pickett and Julia are so much fun! I think the narrator was fabulous except for one thing—Julia sounds older than John. Otherwise a great book performed beautifully. Cannot wait for the next installment. I know that in the end John will discover he is of noble birth.
