Review from The Solstice Prince →
I kept waiting for something to happen in this book, but nothing ever did. The entire time, I thought the book was building to something (i.e. a war, a kidnapping, a coup), but nothing ever happened. The characters were unrealistic to the extreme and so flawless they became boring. I didn’t like any of them..
Eden Finley creates characters that you fall for, get frustrated with, hurt for, and rejoice with! Law: So many things to say about Law. He is one of those characters that you simultaneously want to cheer for, want to hug, and want to slap upside the head at the same time! He has a heart..
I definitely did not dislike anything about the book, I think the characters are all perfectly agreeable, the complications and little elements of drama seem absolutely decent and the fantasy elements are not bad. It is just, there is not really a lot of tension, you do not really feel like you have to go..
Love these stories!

Beautiful. Wow

This book had all the complexity of an Anne Perry novel, but none of the excessive angst which so pervades Perry novels. This book was more thoughtful, and more devious than a typical “cozy” mystery, but like a cozy, it was not saturated with descriptions of gore, although there was murder, mayhem, prostitution, philandering, betrayal..
Mostly romance

Well even though it wasn’t bad I didn’t really enjoy it. There were a ton of nit-picky details in the mystery which just went on and on and on… Plus I never get into guy friends who verbally gay-bash each other. It was “all in good fun” and I get that between friends obviously they..
