I have never felt compelled to write a review before. I really wanted to like this book. It seems like a good storyline. But I could not get through even a quarter of it because of the narrator.

This is one of the best book that I have listened to in a long time.

The story itself is one of Karen Rose’s best, but the narration made it really difficult to listen to. I stopped listening halfway through and borrowed the book from a friend to finish.

Joel’s narration was amazing and I can’t wait to listen to the other books of the series *^* One of the main character of this novel is Beast, a good giant, his appearance seemingly menacing and obscure, but within itself it is only a wounded and sensitive person, and which brings in even more scars..

Other books narrated by Mr. Floomkin he has done a good job, but he was not a good fit. He made everyone sound snobby and flamboyant. Story it self was good, but it was hard getting past the narrator.

Who doesn’t care for this narrator at all? I don’t think I can even get through 1/4 of this book.
