I loved the love story and the way they fought to be together, but there needs to be many trigger warnings before the first scene starts, including (at the very least) homophobic slurs, abuse, and violence.

I loved the way each character is depicted. Having been to London, I especially enjoyed the contrasting depictions of city life and country life, the costuming and the the way everything was tied together. It is refreshing to read/listen to Picket mysteries. Can’t wait for the next one!
