Starts off pretty good but then gets unnecessarily confusing. There are a lot of unanswered questions that made no sense to begin with. For instance how did the protagonist receive a text at towards the ending? just some kind of new unexplained technology… or maybe magic, who knows. What is the point of the pre-human?..

Jeffrey Kafer is amazing. Some random Walmart lady reads the other half. I’ve read all of Mr Robinson’s books and this one is not my favorite. If you’re a fan of sensitive almost action this is probably your jam.

Not bad but would have benefited from a different narrator. His voice and speaking inflection just wasn’t for me. Fairly low-brow plot line and dialogue.
Interesting story line – kept me guessing. Jeffrey Kafer’s reading was continuously over the top. Like every sentence was in bold and with an exclamation mark. No real softness even when the story called for it.

After listening to the first book, I was immensely grateful to see that Jeffrey Kafer replaced the previous narrator. It is an immense improvement. This book is more gruesome than the first one, so that’s something to be aware of. I’m looking forward to how this story will continue to unfold.
