Young Ish gets a job as a mess cook on a merchant ship (space is irrelevant–it’s a generic freighter), impresses his bosses by making good coffee and having a pleasant, hard working demeanor, and starts a cooperative effort renting flea market stalls for the crew to sell personal purchases at ports. I’m enjoying this series more and more. MK Gibson puts you in the thick of a world where demons and devils are in control. And what that might be like on the ground. The interpersonal relationships between humans and demon kind are surprisingly complex. But also brutally dark. Moving forward with this series 1000%.
