Kafer’s performance is so good, that I missed listening to him when I had the opportunity to read the book. This book is even an improvement over the first in the series with a fascinating plot that kept one wondering.

The story isn’t terrible, and the voice actor does a decent job, but there’s a certain bleak insanity inherent to the Cthulhu Mythos that’s missing from this tale. I did appreciate all the references to the Great Old Ones and their associates, though.

I love a good action story and this made a great audio book. The narrator mafe you feel like he was really there.

Mia and Colby meet under intense circumstances. This is a stellar start to a phenomenal series. Cristin Harber keeps it going while hooking the reader from page one. Jeffrey Kafer doesn’t just narrate the story, he brings the story to life.

Far worse than Glynn Stewart’s other books, unfortunately. It was lacking on details of the story and any semblance of character development. The voice acting was hard to follow at times due to no differentiation between characters, and felt rushed.

Listened to this story. Couldn’t wait to get in the car to continue listening. Would recommend.

The beginning of the story was gripping. But from the climax on, it became more and more unbelievable and trite. And then the pauses in between chapters seemed to be for a made-for-TV commercial break.
