I did not realize that this book was military sci-fi I had hoped for more of a police procedural. Military sci-fi bores me. It is all the same nonsense and leaves out most real science that (for some reason) I think should be in sci-fi.

I listened for about 4 hours. It started off well, and the writing style is engaging, but the story itself is boring. Nothing happens. He makes coffee. After a few hours, I came to the reviews to see if it gets more interesting; apparently, it doesn’t.
