I have really enjoyed the series, and I plan to continue with it, but I was slightly disappointed with the turn away from the trade element and towards people beating each other up. If this had been the first one, I had read, I might not continue with the series.

Great narrator, disgusting a story

Spoiler: the kaiju is a murdered child, and the author’s treatment and characterization of this character is upsetting and gross. overall it was quite distasteful as a narrative to me. the voice performance is admirable, I would listen to a different book read by this narrator.
