I enjoy the story and the performance but as most others have said the episodes are short for the credit paid.

I put off reading this for a long time. I’ve read the tales of the solar Clipper and knew what was coming. finally did. It’s a good read, but still broke my heart.

It is my feeling so far that the reader or listener should start with book one in the series, Hard Road.Jeffrey Kafer simply put is one of the best narrators in the business.

These books are written as if a 12 year old ,playing soldier, would write. Very adolescent and disjointed! However, if it were written better it would be a good story.

Was confused for the first 1/3 of the book. Too many names and the narrator did a poor job. 2nd half was like a new book with narration and story on par with previous books!

Compared to the previous narrator, this was a bit of a joke. The artificial vocal Fry and “tough guy” accident made this impossible to listen to.

The journey of young Ishmael Horatio Wong as he finds his way as a spacer on a trading vessel is entertaining enough. Not much happens, but we follow him as he makes friends and finds his footing. Boring but unfortunately my O.C.D will not allow me to not finish the series. The main character comes off as desperate for any female affection. The story would be great if there was more action without every little detail. These books should not be classified as horror ,no matter what the “warning label” says
