I’ve been enjoying Barker’s books for about 30 years now. I’ve read this one and others multiple times. I always enjoy them.

It continues to amaze me just how versatile his story telling is. This was another really good book that was not like the other great books of his. This one isn’t my favorite of his but very worth the listen.

This was a wonderful find. Great character development, Narrator is always top notch, Great storyline

I’m big into space sci fi but this is just lacking substance. It reminded me of scrolling through Facebook more than reading a book.

So this book started out well, mikitary/contract type team sent out to secure a site where a spaceship had been found by a private research group. Cool. Part way through though the writing changes style and the characters suddenly become stupid. Like the tactical leader who has been thoughtful and cautious about the whole operation..

I have listened to just over 300 books now and this is the 3rd time I’ve given a rating below 3 stars. I followed this series since the beginning and I can’t believe it ended this way. I have complained to Audibal for a refund. It just stops. So he works up from the bottom..

I have no idea why this is such a good series. it is tho. even my miss who hates audio books made me pause it or go back to where she’d last heard. it’s just a good story with and excellent narrator.
