There is an amazing cast of narrator’s that bring the many threads of this story to life. 22 hours went by super fast.
The book is a great – a compelling look at near future. The performances, though sometimes good, are sometimes bizarre caricatures, with mispronounciations throughout (diaspora as die-uh-SPORE-uh, Kerala as care-AH-lah, Army Corps of Engineers as Army “corpse” of Engineers, etc.). A mind numbing geographic hopscotch across continents, with fleeting characters, and more particulate readings than plot.
in this day and age everyone should read this book. it should be required learning in school. because everything faced in this book is going to be the things faced by the human race in the years to come I only hope we tackle the challenges as they do
