So many good ideas and important themes, but explored with what seems like so little direction or intention. A ramble through a rich future world, punctuated by talky science lectures and occasional looking binder rocks, never really reaching a destination. Disappointing.

I love all the pop culture references and calls back to some of my favorite books. EF skippy reference got me glares from my coworkers due to my laugh. great story and well preformed.
Well-written book about climate change and it’s possible effects. Dine in a very interesting style that introduces lots of concepts and issues involved in climate change and humanity in a truly global world. Make sure to look up the dates mentioned and learn a lot about our world.

When I started this book I thought it would like wind up and give us a climatic ending but yeah it just left even by the last chapter I knew it wasn’t going to end and they got no books coming up so I don’t know I’m sending it back
Books which portray the future with regard to global climate change are important. It was recommended because it was supposed to be just that. Out of the 106 chapters at least 20 were non sequiturs and went nowhere. Much of it was filled with agonizing irrelevant details while other sections glossed over vitally important events..
Sigh, I wanted to enjoy this book, but there was minimal plot. I almost stopped a few hours in but picked it up again. Ended up listening at 2x for the last 1/3 or so. I wasn’t interested anymore, but wanted to see how it ended.
book jumps around a ton with no real indication of who is talking and why. giving the story some jolting disjointed moments. had the book taken on some more documentarian trappings it would have been a much easier read. think more like the book for World War Z. the narrators we good and they did..

I really liked this LITRPG romp. while it used a couple of tropes, he used it well. we’ll worth the read, I have the next one on my wish list for later.
