Overall, I like the storyline, but I found I would get lost due to 1) the authors obsessive descriptions of detailed moves in battle (better to see than hear), and 2) the characters seemed to fade out in the battle scenes.I’m still continuing on in the series and it could have been shorter in length.

Having listened to the audiobooks of the Witch of the Federation series it was very jarring to hear this narrator creating very different voices – and, therefore, characters – for the familiar characters from the preceding series. Overall I have liked these books and the narrator, other than this discontinuity.
