There were a lot of repeating phrases and scenes. The overall story had interesting parts, even if it was predictable. If some of the of the repeating scenes, as well as some of the parts reiterating scenes that we as readers could infer from the actions of characters, had been replaced with text of worldbuilding..
Excellent scholarship

I understand this narrator has won awards. I understand he makes an impression in horror / suspense stories, but this one isn’t for him. You can tell he is used to stories with fewer characters to voice. At this point, most of the voices are blending together in this series. He also has a tendency..
I have listened to 15 of the books, and this one here Hass to be one of the underrated stories. The author who is reading it gets a lot better on the second book where he does the voices of the character a lot better and throughout the series he keeps getting better and better..
