The action scenes were well written, the story was interesting, and I have found that I must find out what happens to the characters in book 2. The narrator took a little getting used to, but soon i got used to him. Lots of action, complicated characters. Recommended!
I can’t decide if the narration lowers the story – or if both are equally as bad. Both the writing and the delivery are over the top, grating and without any real imagination. I’ve read far better by cherry writers than what Heppner delivers in this story, and shocked that the series appears to continue..
I enjoyed the other novels, and will keep reading… but I found the main characters simply too beaten down in this one for very little reason. There was far too much loss on the MC side to justify everything that happened. The main scenes of the story were good… but really? Frank loses all his..
This one is the worst so far. The first two where good but Jason has done nothing badass intelligent or interesting yet. Bored with the teen love drama too.

An interesting cast of characters and several plot lines. It has me wishing that real life crimes could be given this much attention.
I can’t avoid the cheesy homerun metaphors because this is another amazing installment to what has become a fantastic series, topping my favorites list. The writing is great, esp as he develops the relationship between the two main characters despite his introductory message about how terrible he is at flirting. Added plus, David Stifel does..
