The story line was great, never knowing what would happen next, however the narration was a bit on the cheesy side (Ben’s character)For an x-military guy he talked to Joel like he was five, buddy, buddy, buddy ….I think I would have enjoyed it much more in print.

I thought this was going to be just like his other series Dark Road, and they are similar but this is also different enough that it makes it interesting. I like these series, both, but this one is entertaining with the setting being at sea. I really enjoy the narrator too. I definitely recommend. Easy..

I read a lot of fantasy, and The Sword of Kaigen is everything I love about the genre. It is equally full of high stakes and fear as it is hope and joy. Truly a work of art.
