Ugh! The premise of the story is actually pretty good. The same story could have been told in half the time. I gritted my teeth, that were aching from so much sweetness, until chapter 30 where there finally was some meat. The narrator was thankfully good, or I wouldn’t have made it. What a waste..

I’m a huge Ames fan. I’ve read everything she has done thus far and this audio version. Amazing. Really brought me back to the first time I read it and enhanced it even more! Cannot wait to go thru the entire series again
The idea for this story is excellent and well thought out. However, I struggled to finish this book due to the author’s extreme use of unnecessary detail about every situation and thought slowing the pace, exacerbated by the narrator’s painfully slow and dramatic vocal performance. I turned it to 1.5x speed and that helped but..

I really enjoyed this book. It adds a lot to the series and I really love Hecate. My only real grip is there isn’t a big battle like you have gotten with the other books. I’m hoping the next book makes up for it.
