I couldn’t put it down. It was slow to start and I almost think that book 1 and book 2 could be combined into one large book. It plays like a procedural drama. And I loved every minute of it.

Bad boy meets good girl who’s life is a mess. He swoops in with a proposition she can’t afford to pass up. Even though he is a dangerous, pompous jerk.. she is FAR more grating to me. Had a hard time liking her. Will finish the series for a resolution… hope she gets more likeable…

I didn’t want it to end! I was confused when I only had 25 minutes left and nothing really got resolved until I realized the next book is also Gabe and Mercy! I love the narrators. Alex Kydd has been one of my favorites since he voiced Jake and Caleb in Pucking Around. Can’t wait..
Story has potential, super slow

Book one was free on Audible. MMC said he wouldn’t hurt her or do anything she didn’t want…and 21 chapters in she’s still questioning him, even after she threw herself at him and he declined 🙄. That’s all is been about so far. Story has potential, super slow. I hope we get more character growth..
Wish Mercy wasn’t so irritating.

okay so I’m a huge fan of Alex Kydd but damn if that wasn’t the last on my list of things I loved about this book. This author became an instant favorite for me. The back and forth between these two held my attention the entire time. The female narrator really impressed me. well worth..
Smooth and cool
