This book started a bit slow, but I feel that’s a bit normal for a series starter. The story bounced between the mom and daughter’s perspectives which was fun but at times a bit repetitive in scene replays… It did demonstrate the importance of communication and what happens when there is a lack of it…

This was my first exposure to this book series and it was well done. Very entertaining, the Pov of the female protagonist was well done. Can’t wait do read or listen to the rest of the series! No spoilers from me, you’re gonna have to listen/read. lol!

This was such an enjoyable angsty second chance romance. Everything about this book was done right. Right from the heartache to the angst, I liked it all. The narration was smooth and entertaining. Definitely recommend this one

I felt like I was playing catch up for most of the book, and reading through old reviews it seems like it was originally book 2, so perhaps I should go back and find the now-prequel, but it also worked because Azlana is completely lost..
