At first I wasn’t sure about listening to this, but once I was able to concentrate on it, I got into the story. This series reminds me of Nancy Drew, same setting, same characters, but different mysteries. This one I was able to grasp the mystery right away, but I needed to finish the story..

I really don’t like it when a writer writes herself into a corner and has to find a way out after leading the reader into following what is happening. It makes for an awkward and disappointing situation in the story.
I love Kate Stewart and have read/listened to most of her catalog so my expectations are high when it comes to her books and this one was “ehh” at best, although some of this could have been due to the female narrator. I agree with a previous review that mentions the female narrator sounding robotic..

cute series cute characters but I want to smack cookie because she’s so nosey and prissy and yet won’t ask for help she has a cup and other men around to help but she wants to do it her self and she can’t lie she she’s too something idkw but it’s annoying

I am so very tired of ‘Aunt Pegs’ attitude and the voice of the narrator. The narrator sounds like an affected teen and I always want to tell ‘Aunt Peg’ to leave. Now!
The interactions of the characters, a teenager that didn’t make me want to muzzle them, and adults that didn’t jump right into bed. Thank you!
