This was an enjoyable outing with Mia and her crew, albeit not exactly what I expected. These characters are a hard working lot and quite busy with work, witchy business, and the occasional murder. I like listening to different writers, different characters, different endings. I like dog stories with interesting adventures.
I usually really enjoy these authors, but these particular stories missed the mark for me. I actually ended up skipping the first book by Lisa Phillips. The narrator for that one was so robotic and had random, awkward pauses so much that I couldn’t follow the storyline without getting distracted by her poor performance. Overall,..
