OMG! Started out really good but soon dissolved into a confusing and boring mess. I forced myself to get through it, don’t ask me why! Geez! What a waste of time. The only good thing I can say about it is the narrator was really good…but even he couldn’t save this mess of a story…😕

Terrible book. The only thing adult about the book was the absolutely fiendish scenes that made my skin crawl. They were bloody gore invoking scenes and not in a good way. I read a lot of horror but the scenes along with how childishly simplistic the writing was written bored me to tears or made..

I am a fan of Horror/Survival books and have head over 200 titles in the last two years. I really wanted to like this book. Concept and reviews made it attractive. I was able to get through 1/2 mad lost interest. I wasn’t able to get into the main character, hard to route for him…
Wonderful narrator. One of the best ones I’ve heard. Great with voices and doesn’t overdo it. The story on the other hand was boring. About 1/3 through I quit. DNF for me.
Imagine if John Carpenter made stranger things, it’s a concept that could work and it does in this. 5/5

Almost feels like propaganda. What does the author really think of people that are not ready or choose not to have children..Poorly written and just underlining sanctimonious bs. Don’t kill yourself or wish to not have children or you will be raped and tortured. So cheesy
