What would happen if a confused and desperate 30 something woman with more baggage than a carousel at United Airlines collided head first into the 6th Century from the 21st? You would get this charming, disarming and altogether beautifully written and performed Camelot and Vine. Ms. Burchard not only wrote a really fun, poignant, well researched and highly entertaining story but displays great skill as a narrator with an array of accents and character voices both male and female. I truly enjoyed Casey, the main character, who never lost her comically plucky, self deprecating edge, even when surrounded by the the uber machismo knights of King Arthur’s court. It’s an homage to true love, truth, inner strength, pure grit.. and also..velcro. I’m hoping Casey (and of course, Lucy the mare) return to aid Sir Galahad in his quest for the Holy Grail.
