It has come to my attention that the audio version of this title lacks something from one of the very first pages of the novel:
“For anyone who thinks being stalked is sexy, this is for you.” Followed by a another page with a link to a list of trigger warnings for the book.
That being said, this wasn’t my cup of tea. I dislike how forceful Hayden is, it goes beyond being a dominant kind of sexy, and it’s just creepy. Callista clearly tells him “no” more than once, yet he continues to pursue her.
I couldn’t even finish the book. I literally cringed and/or rolled my eyes at various parts. I didn’t even want to know what the ‘spicy’ parts would be like, given the overtly possessive and, frankly, r*pey way Hayden thinks of her…
That being said, the narration was incredible. These readers are top notch, and extremely well talented. Amazing casting, just not an amazing book.
