This book, was, well…… Disappointment. First off I want to say that the whole series never really entranced me, but I’m running out of audio books so I stuck with it. Ultimately, that was a mistake.
For starters, the writer realized that he had under leveled his character through the first few books and finally decided to incorporate a “speed level round”, this round unfortunately required years and years (unspecified) of power experience in a other dimension, even though little time passed in the “game/real world”. What annoyed me is that the character was about as weak after he maxes out all his stats as he was when he entered…….
Secondly, there are huge fall through in the plot for example, he can make super glass blades,but never considered making armor? In all the books his greatest weakness is getting constantly shot by arrows and stabbed by swords, and yet…… No armor…….
He also never upgraded his holes to do anything more than scout….. I was hoping eventually he would be able to do something more with them, but nope.
Let’s not even talk about the ending which was probably the most depressing waste of time I’ve ever sat through. When the ending happened I just sat there for a while and contemplated my life decisions…. His “God” dad had these huge plans….. Then nothing end of book… Over….
