Listen to me. i am a die hard audible sci-fi / fantasy listener with over 600 books in my collection. I am EXTREMELY selective on both new authors and new narrators I add to my collection, where i usually read through hundreds of comments before venturing on new selections. I have maybe done 3 or 4 audible reviews myself so this is rare as well. I have listened to all 5 books of the series, with book 5 just releaeed. i felt it was important to come back to book 1 to leave this review, because this is where i would start looking for users to determine if i want to venture in this series. Let me also clarify that I generally HATE litrpg books, with more unfinished lit books than i have fingers on both hands. I also HATE CATS. but this book changed my mind after meeting donut. Carl and Donut are possibly the two best heros in new book ive read in many years. the writing and narration is amazing. all 5 books are creative, new journeys, fast paced and entertaining. Ive blitzed all 5 books and now depressed that i will be waiting months for the next book. If you like Squid Games, Ready Player One (not two, that sucked god), and SKIPPY the Magnificent THIS SERIES IS A MUST READ, because in a weird way its all 3 of these combined! Also, keep in mind i HATE litrpg, and yes for many of you book 1 may feel a bit LIT heavy with NEW ACHIEVEMENT, but that definitely tones down in the future books. STOP DOOM SCROLLING THROUGH USER COMMENTS AND MAKE THAT CREDIT PURCHASE NOW! YOU CAN THANK ME LATER!
