I saw the reviews and read the description, I did. I looked I listened to the sample and I read the book description. Yet nothing could properly prepare me for the bag of dead kittens this book was.
Everything about it was bad, horrible MC; literally a person worse than most antagonists in the books I read. He’s cocky, self impressed, selfish, and for the love of the gods man; half the first ten or so chapters he’s taunting a slave. Yes a slave, not only do you have to slog through the self-absorbed musings of this mc, but also his misogynistic views and slave taunts.
Secondly was the absurd magic system. Cultivation? I guess? I didn’t understand the terminology and frankly the MC ruined most of what potential this book could have had anyway. When you listen to the sexist musings of the mc followed by the slave insults, then toss in Greek mythology? Yeah hot garbage, brought to you by this garbage fire.
