I wasn’t expecting much out of this audiobook but I was pleasantly surprised. I saw it several times on facebook ads and im a sucker for something different. Im leaving my comments free of spoilers so something might be vague
Pro:
The cast of this book was fantastic both Jeff and Annie did a great job at really bringing the characters to life. I don’t think this book would have been near as good without Jeff’s ability to channel the main characters cheeky personality
While the story somewhat involves progression their is for sure personal character goals that give purpose to progression
Speaking of progression, the progression system is unique… like if this was a game I would want to play it for the mechanics alone
The story does a lot of foreshadowing of things to come. Im looking forward to seeing how the story progresses with some of the groups in the story that are only touched on.
Cons/Additional Thoughts:
I’m going to have to wait soooo… long for the second book
I’m hoping that we see more interaction between the various groups in the next book
