The characters are way too starry eyed for anyone who has read even a few Post Apocalyptic novels. I found myself yelling, “Shoot him you idiot.” far too often. The characters seem to have book knowledge but zero knowledge of how the world works. I know few people like this in real life. The performance was excellent. There are lessons in this book for those new to prepping. Overall I would recommend it as a starter book for this genre.
