It all started with a very sick and evil pedophile whose sins wove a web of misery and death for generations. Chaos reigns, and the body count of both the innocent and villains seems never ending. Love eventually conquers all, but not without scars.
This series definitely must be read sequentially, I had trouble putting it down. It was much more intense than a cozy mystery, and the romance was a welcome relief from the drama. There is some foul language, but the descriptions of crime scenes are not overly gory, nor are the love scenes graphic.
I found the narrator very believable with a good range of voices for a wide variety of characters and emotions.
The plot was complex with lots of twists and surprises, and the characters were well developed. I would definitely recommend this series if you like dramatic, romantic, mysteries.
